About Andie Broadhurst
I have learned not to underestimate people.
Again and again, I have seen that people labelled as difficult, unmotivated or incapable can think and act very differently when they are treated as capable adults.
Why Wise Path
I ask before I advise.
My working life has crossed businesses, countries, cultures and very different kinds of people. What has stayed with me is the value of careful attention: listening for what someone means, not merely waiting to speak.
I do not believe that helping means taking charge of another person’s life. Often the most useful contribution is a question that opens a door, or enough quiet for the other person to recognise what they already know.
As much support as necessary. As little interference as possible.

An experience that shaped me
The Heide project
In 2009–13, in Heide in northern Germany, I led a centre for people over 50 who had been out of work for at least three years. Rather than treating participants as a problem to be managed, we created a working community in which they could contribute, support one another and recover confidence in their own abilities.
The project began with 18 participants, nine computers and one printer. Participants had four months to achieve success. Attendance reached 98% when about 60% had been expected by the sponsoring Job Centre, and more than 55% moved into positive outcomes against a national rate from 62 centres below 26% for the wider programme. At the end there were 26 participants, still with the nine computers and one printer!
The figures mattered, but the deeper lesson mattered more: remove the stigma, invite responsibility and give people room to surprise you.
The person in the room
Experience has made me curious, not certain.
I have lived in Germany for more than thirty years, run businesses (in both UK and Germany), led projects and changed direction more than once. I know what it is to discover that an old answer no longer fits. I also know that intelligence and capability do not protect any of us from feeling stuck.
Wise Path brings those experiences into a straightforward offer: a thoughtful conversation, without performance, judgement or pressure.
